Making a difference in the 31st District!
Chief of Staff-Anthony Lovelace
Anthony Lovelace was born in Chicago Heights and raised on the South Side of Chicago, spending most of his life in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Raised in a family deeply committed to faith, education, and community service, Anthony developed a passion for social justice and public service at an early age through involvement in local meetings, church initiatives, and neighborhood events.
Anthony attended the Harvard School of Excellence before graduating from Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep, where he participated in programs including Academic Decathlon, the Bessie Coleman Flight Program, and BRAVE Youth Leaders. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies from Roosevelt University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Policy at DePaul University, with an expected graduation in 2026.
At age 14, Anthony began volunteering at Saint Sabina Church, where he eventually became office manager, serving in that role until May 2025. During his time there, he helped coordinate community events, manage staff, and organize youth involvement in major social justice initiatives, including the 2018 Dan Ryan Shutdown protest. His work also led to opportunities to participate in nationally televised interviews, panels, rallies, and community discussions centered on advocacy and civic engagement.
Anthony currently serves as Chief of Staff to Representative Michael Crawford of the 31st District, where he continues his lifelong commitment to serving and advocating for his community.
